Oxford's train station is located in Botley road, in close proximity to the bus station and the city centre. Oxford is easily accessible by train, with services operated by Thames Trains running from London to Oxford every 10 minutes, with a journey time of about 1 hour, making day trips feasible.

There are local bus services within the city connecting major points of interest, while frequent coach services connect Oxford to the rest of the country. The city is served by a number of major roads, making driving to the city equally accessible. Car hire is available within the city, but other means of transport may work out as more economical depending on how much travelling you are planning to do. The M40 and M25 motorways, which travel to major UK cities including London, can be joined near Oxford. The journey from Oxford to London by car is approximately 40 miles and takes under an hour.

Historically one of the busiest airfields in the UK, Oxford Airport provides air connections to major UK airports including London Gatwick and London Heathrow. Taxis and buses are available to transport visitors from the airport to the city centre.
